“Conscious Fashion is clothing created with awareness”
Eshim is a Los Angeles-born slow fashion brand guided by the philosophy of Conscious Fashion. For us, consciousness means awareness and responsibility - in how garments are designed, how materials are chosen, and how clothing exists in the world. It is the belief that what we wear carries meaning, impact, and intention. Eshim approaches clothing as something that can evolve rather than be replaced. We design transformable garments that shift with the wearer - fluid silhouettes moving from ease to elegance, from day to evening. Certain pieces are created to be worn in multiple ways, allowing form to adapt to mood, movement and moment.Earth-toned palettes and natural textures define the aesthetic: grounded, refined, and timeless. At Eshim, transformation, responsibility, and intention are all expressions of the same conscious process.
Materials & Production
Eshim was born in Los Angeles during the stillness of the COVID era - a time that invited reflection on how clothing is made and why another new brand should exist. In a world already saturated with garments, creating another brand only made sense if it did not contribute to more waste. For this reason, we work primarily with carefully selected deadstock fabrics originally produced in the United States, Japan, and Europe. These high-quality materials - natural fibers such as Supima cotton, viscose, modal, etc - are rescued before they are discarded. Because these fabrics exist in limited quantities, our production remains intentionally small. Certain silhouettes may return, reimagined in new materials. All Eshim garments are ethically and locally made in the Los Angeles. We value the people who craft them and prioritize integrity at every stage of production. We design for longevity Garments meant to be worn, lived in, and transformed over time.
The Designer
Eshim designer Elli is a self-taught designer and artist originally trained in philosophy. Her academic studies explored questions of meaning, consciousness, justice, and spirituality - ideas that continue to shape the foundation of the brand. In a time of global pause, intuitive draping became a process of exploration. Through movement, fabric, and form, adaptive silhouettes began to emerge - feminine, timeless, and quietly powerful. Witnessing beautiful deadstock fabrics labeled as waste further strengthened the mission: to reimagine, and give them new life. Eshim exists where fashion meets philosophy -where clothing becomes an extension of awareness, and where transformation begins with what we choose and how we wear it.
